Jennifer Aniston will be on Courteney Cox's 'Cougar Town'
We don't want to seem like we're ganging up on Jennifer Aniston all the time, but Entertainment Weekly reports that she's once again turning to her pal Courteney Cox for a guest spot on her friend's show, Cougar Town. Is it not enough that she ruins the cineplex every four months or so?
ABC confirmed Monday that Aniston will appear in the season two premiere, although we've already learned from Courteney's old FX show Dirt that Jen isn't necessarily a big draw, even when there's a lesbian kiss. "She’s going to play Courteney’s shrink named Bonnie," executive producer Bill Lawrence said about the episode, which bows Sept. 22. "Kind of a get-too-involved-in-her-life-type of therapist. Those guys are so close in real life they kind of do that for each other anyway. Bonnie has the life Jules (that would be Cox) wishes she has."
At least we know this isn't entirely art imitating life: Cox is married and seems to have found a fairly stable TV gig. Aniston is box office poison (The Switch debuted at No. 8 last weekend, behind Nanny McPhee Returns) and is the butt of everyone's commitment jokes. Maybe that's why Lawrence is hinting that Bonnie the therapist may be back on Cougar Town again.
