Jennifer Lopez partners with English-language Latino network nuvoTV
Don't feel bad for Jennifer Lopez, who left American Idol in sort of a huff after last season, because she's already landed on her feet. She's now part owner of the English-language cable TV network for Latinos, nuvoTV. That's good, because she'll somewhere to put all those reruns of Q'Viva.
"As an artist, businesswoman, producer and Latina, I'm passionate about seeing multicultural America on TV," J.Lo said in a press release on the network's website. "My partnership with nuvoTV reflects our mutual goal of creating top-quality entertainment and exciting stories that embrace the richness and beauty of Latin culture in America today."
The network said it will work with Lopez to develop programming and "redefine television tailored for English-speaking Latinos." As long as we get screenings of either Anaconda or The Cell once every two days, we'll be fine. Also, at least one dance competition employing retired Fly Girls. And just think of the kids' shows she could come up with! Everyone, call Bright House or Verizon immediately!
