Word on the street is that Jennifer Love Hewitt is desperate to play Wonder Woman in a big-screen adaptation by Joss Whedon. Well, you would be too, if your show The Ghost Whisperer was canceled at the last minute despite doing fairly well for a Friday night series.

"I'm fighting so hard," she's quoted by World Entertainment News Network. "I think Warner Bros. is getting ready to make Wonder Woman and I really want to play Wonder Woman. I am obsessed with Wonder Woman."

She'll have to fend off other notables for the role like Megan Fox, Eliza Dushku, Beyonce Knowles and even Sandra Bullock (what, not Morena Baccarin?. Whedon probably hasn't had this many women fighting over him since, well, last year's Comic-Con.
