Jessica Sierra pleads no contest to charges
Former American Idol contestant Jessica Sierra got her own dose of celebrity justice in court Monday, pleading no contest to felony charges of battery and cocaine possession, the St. Pete Times reports. Circuit Judge Gregory Holder sentenced her to 12 months’ probation, giving her a break because it was her first arrest.
You’ll recall she was arrested in April after throwing a cocktail glass at someone at the Hyde Park Cafe, followed by the fuzz at the clink finding some coke while checking her purse. The 22-year-old flew into Tampa from a drug treatment program in California to attend the hearing, which no doubt will be featured on the VH1 celeb rehab show she is filming while in the facility.
She will have to finish the program and submit to random drug tests as part of her probation, but that’s a whole lot better than having to fight over Spam sandwiches with prisoners at the county jail.
