Jessica Simpson dropped from country label
The bad news keeps on rolling in for Jessica Simpson, who has been dropped by country music label Sony Nashville, Us says. And her new musical foray had been going so well!
Simpson skipped Sunday's Academy of Country Music Awards and her name had been removed from Columbia Nashville and Sony Music Nashville's Web sites, but it was Jessica's rep who finally told the mag she was no longer with the label.
Not like it's a big deal: "She was on loan to Sony Nashville for her country album," the flack tells Us. What, like British soccer players are loaned to other clubs? Kinda. Simpson "is and has always been an Epic artist. She continues to be on Epic's label."
Does that mean she'll continue to churn out pop albums? We dunno; she hasn't really been the talk of the town lately.
