Jessica Simpson is really hungry, cries all the time because she's pregnant
Apparently Jessica Simpson's new business strategy these days is to constantly talk about what it's like to be pregnant, mostly because that's all she does anymore. Well, that, and swim in a giant pile of money from her fashion business. While pregnant.
But she's not immune to cravings: "This week it's peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, toasted," she told Rachael Ray during the taping of the cook-turned-talk show host's Dec. 12 episode. "And then, I'll put some salt on my hand like I'm taking a tequila shot and then take a bite of the sandwich."
Her emotions aren't in check either, of which every father is intimately aware.
"That's the one thing about pregnancy -- I'll cry at the drop of a hat," she said. "Even a great souffle would make me cry. ... I felt (the baby) move the other day for the first time and I had big crocodile tears. It was the coolest thing ever. It did a flip or something. I was like, 'There it went. It's there. It's really there.'"
Given her fragile emotional state, we won't point out that the term crocodile tears doesn't mean what Jessica thinks it means ... oops, too late. In any event, a toasted PB&J sounds really good all of a sudden.
