Jessica Simpson's dad says he isn't controlling
While the world greets Jessica Simpson's new country style with a yawn, papa Joe tries desperately to keep his daughter relevant by going on Extra and telling the world that he's not a controlling schemer with plans to keep his Jess and sister Ashlee in the news. Um, okay.
"The media says that I try to plan everything. If I had half of the power they give me ... Ashlee and Jessica don't call me and ask me. They call me and tell me," he said. He also says Jess and Tony Romo are still and item, calling the QB "a good kid."
And speaking of kids, Joe scares us by saying of Ashlee's and Pete Wentz's forthcoming spawn: "I would love to have a boy, but I know how to raise girls so I'm good with that." There's so much psychological subtext to that statement, we don't know where to start.
