J.Lo, Marc Anthony 'worming' into Obama light
What would the upcoming inauguration of Barack Obama be without some gossipy bits? This time around, we're going to blame Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez for having the audactiy to turn up at the swearing-in despite not having publicly supported the candidate before he got elected. At least, that's what the New York Post says.
The pair are "vile opportunists for worming themselves into anything Obama-related even though the had nothing to do with his win," an obviously angry source tells Page Six. Anthony will sing and J. Lo will speak at the Latino Inaugural Ball in DC on Jan. 18. Also attending at Rosario Dawson, Wilmer Valderrama and Tony Plana, the Post says.
The source whines that Anthony refused to perform at a campaign event in Orlando two weeks before election day, and J.Lo wouldn't endorse Obama unless he called her personally to ask, which he didn't do.
Although, to be fair, another anonymous source (likely the editors of Page Six) points out that people like Sean Combs asked for tickets without agreeing to anything or coughing up money, while Rihanna and Mariah Carey didn't donate a cent but are still going to sing: "Marc and Jennifer shouldn't be reviled for that," the source says. Oh no, there are plenty other reasons to revile them.
