Johnny Depp says he's overpaid with 'stupid money'
Always a favorite on this page is Johnny Depp, who by all accounts is a nice guy, works for charities and stay sout of trouble, despite being obscenely rich. How rich? So rich, he says he's overpaid to star in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, which have earned him $300 million on their own. That's class, folks.
"Basically, if they're going to pay me the stupid money right now, I’m going to take it," Depp says in the November issue of Vanity Fair. "I have to. I mean, it's not for me. Do you know what I mean? At this point, it’s for my kids. It’s ridiculous, yeah, yeah. But ultimately is it for me? No. No. It's for the kids."
The 48-year-old has two kids with partner Vanessa Paradis: Lily-Rose, 12, and Jack, 9. Does that mean he has room to adopt us? All Mama Juice* is going to leave us is two overweight cats and bookshelves full of old back issues of Good Housekeeping.
