Jon and Kate Gosselin are now divorced
We know, this hasn't been much of a ban, but we thought you'd all like to know that Jon and Kate Gosselin have officially ended 10 years of marriage. Now if only they could end 10 more years of tabloid headlines.
Kate's lawyer, Mark Momjian, told TMZ that a judge signed the papers in the no-fault divorce agreement entered Friday. Kate is the primary caretaker of the couple's brood and gets to keep thier house, with Jon getting visitation rights -- as if he really cares.
"I am very relieved that our divorce has been finalized, and I look forward to the New Year, focusing on our children," Kate said.
An arbiter decided how the couple's property would be divided, but there's one thing that may be a sticking point: Jon has to pay child support of up to five figures a month, the site says. That'll be hard, seeing as how that bum didn't have a job before the kids were born and technically doesn't really have a job now (unless you count fashion consultant, which we don't).
Not only did TLC prevent him from making appearances or endorsements after he badmouthed the network, but he has to pay back all $235,000 in funds he took from the couple's join bank account. Maybe he could sell off those Ed Hardy shirts.
