Jon Cryer's ex-wife may have tried to have him killed
You think Charlie Sheen's marriage is a flaming mess? Try Jon Cryer's defunct marriage to ex-wife Sarah Trigger, who apparently tried to have him killed by a hit man. We can't wait until that storyline is worked into Two and a Half Men.
This item from TMZ is a bit complicated, so follow along: In papers filed for a custody battle between Cryer and Trigger, Trigger apparently told her lawyer on Dec. 21 of last year that her ex-boyfriend, Eddie Sanchez, said he was going to kill both Cryer and Trigger's husband, David Dickey, from whom she was separated at the time. Trigger's lawyer called both Cryer's and Dickey's lawyers, leading Dickey to face off with Sanchez.
"Mr. Sanchez not only flatly denied making such a statement, but he said that it was (Sarah Trigger) who had contacted him on numerous occasions, stating that she wanted to see the pair (Cryer and Dickey) dead, and even asking Mr. Sanchez if he would kill the pair, or if he would not, inquiring whether she could speak with Mr. Sanchez's father about this issue," the documents read.
Cryer then reportedly told Warner Bros. security on Jan. 15, and a costar (presumably Sheen) asked to not film in front of a live audience. Exciting! Maybe we should watch that show more.
"Sarah has not threatened anyone, especially Jon and those are statements that are refuted and she has evidence to show that Mr. Sanchez has already recanted those statements to her," Trigger's family law attorney, Vicki Greene, told the site. Whew, that's a relief. We'd hate to see Jon in Hiding Out for real.
