Julianne Moore reports $127,000 worth of jewelry missing
Emmy winner Julianne Moore, who has never done anything to offend our sterling Juice* sensibilities, has reported more than $127,000 worth of jewelry missing from her New York apartment. Yes, she has more jewelry than your house is worth. Well, had, anyway.
Ten pricey pieces (seven from Cartier) were taken from her West Village brownstone, the New York Post reports. The collection went AWOL over the summer while the place was being renovated between June 6 and Aug. 28. Among the missing loot was a $33,000 Cartier platinum diamond tennis bracelet, the paper says, and four Cartier watches worth a total of $77,800.
There was no security surveillance on the inside of the home, but there was one camera covering the outside. It didn't seem to help, because an investigation started after a report was filed Monday hasn't turned up anything, except for the idea that if you're rich enough to own that kind of bling, you should hire someone to watch shifty construction workers in your place while you're not home.
