Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga videos pulled from YouTube
Justin Bieber had all his videos on YouTube pulled down after what could be called a cyber attack on Monday -- if by cyber attack you mean somebody exploited the terms of use to have the site yank anything with a copyright claim against it. Boy, did you hate those school-marmy glasses and that stupid boa constrictor he had at the VMAs that much?
All of Bieber's videos and a few of Lady Gaga's were briefly taken down from their respective VEVO channels after an account called iLCreation filed a copyright claim against them. Given YouTube's policy of taking videos offline until such claims are resolved, that means you could no longer watch Baby or U Smile. Ah, what a peaceful afternoon it was!
"Someone is making false copyright claims against the Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga channels and YouTube has blocked access to the videos as a result," a VEVO rep told TMZ. Everything seemed to be back up and running later in the day, but you can believe YouTube will have to revisit their copyright policies after this.
