Justin Bieber talks about sex, abortion and health care
Justin Bieber may not have a Grammy for best new artist, but he does have a lot to say about health care, doing the nasty and getting an abortion in a new Rolling Stone interview. We guess those are all related phenomena, in a way. Well, don't take our word for it.
"I don't think you should have sex with anyone unless you love them," Bieber tells the mag, although he stops short of revealing whether Selena Gomez really is his girlfriend, and is he's, ahem, in love with her. "I think you should just wait for the person you're ... in love with."
But one thing you shouldn't have to wait for, he notes, is health insurance. Warning, he kinda burns the States on this one, saying he's never going to become a U.S. citizen: "You guys are evil," he says with a laugh. "Canada's the best country in the world. We go to the doctor and we don't need to worry about paying him, but here, your whole life, you're broke because of medical bills. My bodyguard's baby was premature, and now he has to pay for it. In Canada, if your baby's premature, he stays in the hospital as long as he needs to, and then you go home."
But something he really shies away from is his stance on abortion, saying "I really don't believe in abortion. It's like killing a baby?" Uh, is that a question? Anyway, when they ask him about cases involving rape, he makes a pretty unarticulate argument. "Um. Well, I think that's really sad, but everything happens for a reason. I guess I haven't been in that position, so I wouldn't be able to judge that."
Well, you haven't used the U.S. health care system to deliver a premature baby, have you? But you've got a big opinion on that. WHICH IS IT, BIEBER???
