Justin Bieber wages Twitter war with Detroit teen
As proof that Justin Bieber really is as brainless and callous as any other 16-year-old boy, the singer tweeted an enemy teen's phone number on his account Saturday night as revenge for a past slight, siccing his 4.5 million or so followers on the hapless youth. That was followed by Bieber threatening to have his bodyguard take the kid's lunch money.
Gawker says shortly before midnight Saturday, @justinbieber tweeted "everyone call me 248-XXX-XXXX :) or text" (they've blurred the numbers to save what's left of the poor kid's sanity) before taking it down a few moments later. Twitter being what it is, thousands of his followers retweeted the message and blew up the kid's phone with 10,000 or so text messages and calls in just two hours.
That kid is Detroit-area teen Kevin Kristopik, who then tweeted from his now deleted account, "Thanks for giving out my # @justinbieber." It's not clear what's going on here, but it's possible that Kristopik is the kid who hacked the account of Bieber's childhood friend, Ryan Butler, and got the singer's phone number. As proof, Kristopik tweeted on July 27, "im the one who hacked ryan and got justins #." So that just may have been the motive. It's not much evidence to go on, we know.
Anyway, Kristopik's voice mail is now full, Gawker says, and Bieber hasn't mentioned the incident since. Nice to see cyberbullying occurs no matter how much money you make.
