Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun mad about Grammy shutout
So the Grammy nominations came out Wednesday night, but we ignored all that, because none of you will be watching the Grammys, as far as we can tell. But then Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun got all torqued that his golden boy didn't get even so much as a sniff in his direction. Good thing there's Twitter on which to vent your rage (although not at Biebs' fellow Canuck Carly Rae Jepsen, who snagged two nods).
"first…congrats to @carlyraejepsen . thought u deserved a best new artist nom, but proud Call Me Maybe got u 2 noms. so proud of u," Braun wrote, starting a massive missive lambasting the powers that be. "second….this time there wont be any wise words, no excuses, I just plain DISAGREE. The kid deserved it. Grammy board u blew it on this one… this time he deserved to be recognized and I dont really have any kind nice positive things to say about a decision i dont agree with."
He was careful not to offend other nominees besides Jepsen -- whom Bieber helped get an American record contract -- like Frank Ocean, who used to write Bieber songs and got six nominations, so Braun added, "so to all those nominated…you do deserve it. You worked hard and u earned it. Just feel like so did JB." It went on and on, too, but you probably didn't even know Bieber was shut out until just now reading this, so is anyone really concerned about the awards? Just asking.
