Kanye West says he's 'voice of this generation'
"I realize that my place and position in history is that I will go down as the voice of this generation, of this decade, I will be the loudest voice," the AP reports he said in an interview on Wednesday. "It's me settling into that position of just really accepting that it's one thing to say you want to do it and it's another thing to really end up being like Michael Jordan."
Say what? Gee, while you're at it, stop world hunger and find a clean, renewable energy source. Oh, and what's that about Justin Timberlake possibly being the biggest name in the music biz right now? Oh, that's ridiculous, West said.
"There were people who had the potential to do it but they went on vacation, so when Justin went on vacation I made albums," he said. "And it just came out to be that."
You know, it was okay when West was whining about not winning awards, because some people are just egotistical. You have to be in the music game. But declaring yourself the Michael Jordan of music? Do some underwear ads and be recognized by people who don't even have ears and then you can say that. Meanwhile, quit getting into fights with paparazzi.
