The Kardashians made $65 million in 2010
Hold onto your tax returns, people, because the Hollywood Reporter has a new cover story that says Kim Kardashian's family made $65 million in 2010 -- more than Angelina Jolie, Sandra Bullock and Tom Cruise put together. Well yeah, there are five daughters, after all.
The mag says endorsement deals, appearance fees, products and TV shows all add up to quite a bit, right down to how mom Kris Jenner has her kids include a Twitter clause in all their contracts. Mentioning a product in a tweet can bring in $25,000 all by itself, THR says.
"My job was trying to take my kids' 15 minutes and turn it into 30," Jenner tells the mag, noting that shows starring daughters Kim, Kourtney and Khloe are the biggest gold mine. And the secret to it all is that they don't have any secrets.
"Not only do we not have filters running through our brains, we don't edit ourselves ... The scene where Scott (Disick, Kourtney's boyfriend) is shoving money down the waiter's throat, that was hard to watch. But I said: 'Leave it alone. Just show it. It'll be fine.' I've said that every single time. And it's served me well from a business point of view."
Well of course she's laissez-faire about what she shows. Daughter Kim got famous by showing everything on her sex tape with Ray J, so she should know what sells these days.
