Kate Winslet, Emma Thompson, Rachel Weisz say no to plastic surgery
Here's a movement that's Juice*-approved: Kate Winslet, Emma Thompson and Rachel Weisz all tell the U.K.'s Telegraph they never plan on having any sort of plastic surgery. It doesn't hurt that those are three of our favorite actresses.
"It goes against my morals, the way that my parents brought me up and what I consider to be natural beauty," the 35-year-old Winslet said. "I will never give in. ... I am an actress, I don't want to freeze the expression of my face."
Thompson, who is 52, agrees, noting that the trend in Hollywood is disturbing. "I'm not fiddling about with myself. We're in this awful youth-driven thing now where everybody needs to look 30 at 60." Weisz, who is 41, said it's unnatural, both literally and figuratively. "People who look too perfect don’t look sexy or particularly beautiful."
And since we're talking about British actress, we have to throw in annoying Gwyneth Paltrow, who lives in London, so the Telegraph asked her, too. Her solution? Well, she wouldn't cut her face, but ...
"I still refuse to use silicone, Botox or any other of those gimmicks of pure vanity, but a breast correction after breast feeding -- why not?" she said. "There's actually nothing else to restore the original condition, is there?" Um, Gwyneth, you're kinda missing the point.
