Kathleen Turner was wrong about Nicolas Cage
A London court awarded damages and ordered Kathleen Turner to apologize to Nicolas Cage after hearing arguments in a libel suit he brought against the actress concerning allegations in her autobiography, Send Yourself Roses. You know, the allegations that way back when they were filming 1986's Peggy Sue Got Married together, Nic was "arrested twice for drunk-driving and, I think, for stealing a dog. He'd come across a Chihuahua he liked and stuck it in his jacket." Oh, that old chestnut.
Reuters says Turner and her publisher Headline Publishing Group and Britain's Daily Mail accepted a High Court ruling that the allegations were unture and would pay Cage's legal costs. They also will make a "substantial" donation to charity in his name, an amount rumored to be around $250,000. And yet, no amount of money will revive Kathleen Turner's career.
