Katie Holmes didn't ask for an emergency hearing

Believe it or not, there's not a ton of new stuff to say about Katie Holmes' divorce from Tom Cruise today, but you don't see us not writing about it, do you? Hey, we're not quitters. Who cares about Syria, Obamacare or the crippling inequity in the modern American tax structure? KATIE HOLMES DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!!!

That's because her lawyer is denying reports his client asked for an emergency hearing for custody and child support. "Other than her action for divorce, the only pending application filed by Ms. Holmes remains her request for an anonymous caption," Jonathan Wolfe told People in a statement, referring to Holmes' anonymous filing in New York last Friday.

Meanwhile, Cruise's people are planting stories that the divorce isn't over Scientology, with some unnamed person telling TMZ Katie was all in for the Clearwater-based church.

"She was totally committed to Scientology. She had enthusiasm for it and would voluntarily and gladly participate in it when Tom was off shooting movies," the source told the site. "This is not a fight over religion. It's being used as a way to hurt Tom."

Well, that's mission accomplished, in either case. We'll be back with another TomKat item whether it's warranted or not in the next installment of The Juice*!
