Keira Knightley victim of domestic abuse in PSA
We could bore you with details about Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler splitting up (again), or we could tell you about Keira Knightley getting beat down in a new domestic violence PSA. Show of hands? Wife beating it is!
The actress stars in a new, two-minute short for the charity Women's Aid, being attacked by a male companion and brutally beaten and eventually kicked while curled up on the floor. The abuse is supposedly happening on a movie set, but a camera pans out to show there is no crew, and the tagline "Isn't it time someone called cut?" appears onscreen.
"I wanted to take part in this advert for Women's Aid because while domestic violence exists in every section of society we rarely hear about it," Knightley told the Guardian. "Domestic violence affects one in four women at some point in their lifetime and kills two women every week."
The ad will debut Monday before some 15 different movies in theaters across Britain, as well as in print and on TV, while you will have to click above to watch the savagery.
