Kelly Clarkson has no problem with her weight
Kelly Clarkson has some choice words for all those weighter-haters out there: Yo, man, she's fine with being overweight. Oh get off it, all you have to do is look at her and tell she's 10 pounds north of healthy.
"When people talk about my weight, I'm like, 'You seem to have a problem with it; I don't. I'm fine!'," the 27-year-old performer says in a heavily Photoshopped cover story on Self. "My happy weight changes. Sometimes I eat more; sometimes I play more."
It's not like she isn't trying to lose weight, however. She cops to playing golf and taking Crossfit workouts: "It's like bootcamp! You never work out more than 35 minutes, but it's so intense … It makes me feel like G.I. Jane. It's very empowering. I feel like I can whup ass!"
But she still has a fondness for chicken-fried steak, although she'll mix in a salad here and there, saying she loves "healthy stuff and junk an equal amount." And dieting is a no-no.
"For me, it's the times when I'm not paying attention that I end up losing weight," she said. "But I'm never trying to lose weight – or gain it. I'm just being!"
Don't get us wrong, The Juice* has a lengthy record of knocking rail-thin stars too, but seriously, look at Kelly on July 31, and then at what Self did to her on the cover of the September issue. We haven't seen fakery this bad since the moon landing.
