Kelsey Grammer, Martin Lawrence may team up for sitcom
Kelsey Grammer's show Boss has been canceled and we haven't seen Martin Lawrence in forever, so you know what that means: A new sitcom with the both of them together. This is no doubt to pay homage to the late Jack Klugman's Odd Couple and not just a shameless money grab, right? Right?!?
The pair have been in discussions since November to star in a comedy for Lionsgate TV and its Debmar Mercury subsidiary, Deadline.com reports. The show may follow the production model of Charlie Sheen's Anger Management, the site says, meaning they may make 10 episodes to sell to a network, then work out a deal to make as many as 90 more. That's a lot of Frasier and Martin.
This sounds way better than that silly cop show pilot Lawrence was making for CBS. As for Grammer, well, he has to pay off his ex-wife Camille somehow. Just so long as nobody ends up wearing a Big Momma's House fat suit, we'll be fine.
