The Killing's Mireille Enos may join World War Z as Brad Pitt's wife
While we have casting news that is very much steeped in Superman lore, it seems Hollywood's meddling with success continues, with word that Mireille Enos may join the cast of zombie porn World War Z -- in a role that doesn't exist in the book. Movie executives, why do you insist on ruining everything?
Enos, from AMC's The Killing, may take a role as Karin Lane, wife of zompocalypse documenter Gerald Lane, played by Brad Pitt. That's a stretch, considering the writer in the book is never named, let alone has a wife. What, exactly, is Paramount asking of screenwriters Matt Carnahan and Michael J. Straczynsjki? Maybe that's why Straczynski was taken off script duties after a couple of drafts.
This is all after the site reported the project based on Max Brooks' book may be scrapped altogether, since the budget was rumored to hit $125 million. Never mind that, since a few producing partners have pitched in to help pay for it all. We may get to see the Battle of Yonkers after all, but you know what they say about too many chefs ... they end up overcooking your brains.
