Kim Cattrall gets naked to save Brit painting
Kim Cattrall is giving her raunchy Sex & the City alter ego Samantha a run for her money, taking it all off to raise awareness for a renaissance-era painting that's in danger of being sold off from the British National Galleries collection.
Artist Tom Hunter took a photo of the 52-year-old and other nude models that was inspired by Titian's painting Diana and Actaeon, which is one of two works being sold for $200 million by the Duke of Sutherland. The duke has given the National Galleries until Dec. 31 to buy the painting back for $100 million, the Mirror says.
Cattrall said the painting was "like being in the presence of genius ... It would be a tragedy if it were not on public view." And her plan to raise awareness has worked -- Internet searches for both images went up at the Juice* offices 100 percent (for art's sake, of course).
