Kim Kardashian, Kris Humphries could make $17.9 million for wedding

While The Juice* still can't afford to bring you photos of Kim Kardashian's wedding to Kris Humphries, we can afford to dish enough in this follow-up to really make you hate her. How? By telling you her $10 million wedding likely not only didn't set her back anything, but probably made her something in the neighborhood of $17.9 million. And you were happy just from getting a discounted groom's cake at your wedding.

The New York Post did some hard-knuckled accounting of the ceremony and found that most of the featured attractions at the ceremony were deeply discounted our were comped outright, including $10,000 in invitation, $400,000 worth of Perrier Jouet Champagne, Kim's trio of $20,000 Vera Wang gowns (that's per dress), a 10-tier wedding cake that may have cost up to $20,000, $150,000 for hair and makeup and a nice price cut on her $2 million, 20.5-carat engagement ring and the couple's $1 million wedding bands. That makes the $750,000 food tab a little more palatable.

Mind you, Kim and Kris are paying for the rest with healthy payments from celebrity news outlets desperate for a story. E! reportedly gave her $15 million for rights to film the thing and plaster all over the TV. She also worked out a deal with People to get $300,000 to exclusively announce her engagement and $2.5 million for exclusive photos (which is why we can't buy any). OK! also shelled out $100,000 for bridal shower photos and Tao in Las Vegas paid her $50,000 to host her bachelorette party.

And this is Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, arguably two of the least-famous famous people who ever got famous for respectively starring in a bad sex tape with a ho-hum rapper and being a medicocre basketball player who has played for four teams in seven seasons. Imagine the kind of freebies Brangelina would pull if they got married. At least they'd give the money to charity.
