Kim Kardashian opens up about split with Kris Humphries

It's about time Kim Kardashian said something about the dissolution of her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries -- it's been almost three days, after all --so she picked the best possible forum: her website. And yes, she blames the media. It's all our fault. We did it. We're sorry.

"I am trying not to read all the different media reports but it's hard not to see all the negative ones," the 31-year-old posted on "First and foremost, I married for love. I can’t believe I even have to defend this. I would not have spent so much time on something just for a TV show!" She then lists the fact that her family has filmed sister Khloe getting married, other sister Kourtney giving birth and cross-country moves to start an awful fashion line, so hey, why should we be surprised?

"I believed in love and the dream of what I wanted so badly. I felt like I was on a fast roller coaster and couldn’t get off when now I know I probably should have," she added. "I got caught up with the hoopla and the filming of the TV show that when I probably should have ended my relationship, I didn’t know how to and didn’t want to disappoint a lot of people."

But don't think those people disappointed were the companies who donated millions in services for that E! wedding special. No, money didn't have anything to do with it. Nothing. At all. Nope.

"There are also reports that I made millions of dollars off of the wedding. These reports are simply not true and it makes me so sad to have to even clarify this," she says. "I'm so grateful to everyone who took the time to come to my wedding and I’ll be donating the money for all the gifts to the Dream Foundation." Yeah, all those millions she made? She actually gave them away, so it's not like she actually got any money for this, see.

But let's all remember the words of Robert Kardashian: "My dad always told me to follow my heart and I believe now that I really am." Of course, her dad's heart told him to take millions to defend a guy who killed his wife and her friend, so take that with a grain of salt.
