Kristen Stewart apologizes for comparing fame to rape

Tbd-kristenstewart060710 Twilight's Kristen Stewart opened her mouth one too many times in July's Elle U.K., so now the actress is backpedaling double-time to make up for comparing fame to sexual assault. Does she not realize people can read stuff on the Internet?

In the latest issue of the mag, she says being a movie star is pretty darn difficult: "What you don't see are the cameras shoved in my face and the bizarre intrusive questions being asked, or the people falling over themselves, screaming and taunting to get a reaction. The photos are so ... I feel like I'm looking at someone being raped."

Wow. Yeah, except people can choose not to be famous, and don't have to go to counseling after being photographed, you idiot. Realizing what she'd done, Stewart issued a mea culpa via People.

"I really made an enormous mistake – clearly and obviously," Stewart said. "And I'm really sorry about my choice of words. I've made stupid remarks before, and I've always reasoned: 'Whatever. They can think what they want.' ... 'Violated' definitely would have been a better way of expressing the thought."

We give credit to Kristen for not saying she was misquoted, but really, we're sick and tired of celebs complaining they have no privacy. You also have no problems paying the electric bill or getting a seat in first class, either. That's the price you pay, kids.
