Kristen Stewart fired from 'Snow White and the Huntsman' sequel
One thing was off about this summer's Snow White and the Huntsman, starring Kristen Stewart, and that was the fact it starred Kristen Stewart. That may have had something to do with her being dropped from any possible sequel. That's right, Snow White was canned from a potential Snow White sequel.
The Hollywood Reporter says Universal has the big idea to focus on Chris Hemsworth, whose career has exploded so much since Thor came out that his remake of Red Dawn is even going to come out now, almost three years after shooting. "The studio is currently exploring options to continue the franchise," a spokesman for the studio said. Just not without Stewart, because she won't be invited to the set. We're figuring Charlize Theron won't be back, either, but you never know, since they're willing to fire the title character.
What's not being said is that Stewart's affair with married Snow White director Rupert Sanders may have caused all of this, although it's unclear if Sanders will be back, either. What's also not being said is that despite her megabucks salary demands post-Twilight, Stewart can't act and is death at the box office unless a big star is onscreen with her or the movie's about sexually frustrated vampires (cheating on pasty heartthrob Robert Pattinson certainly didn't help her image with teenaged girls). Don't believe us? Tell us the plot of Adventureland. Or maybe The Runaways. We'll wait.
