Kristen Stewart may steal role from Jennifer Lawrence
As if Kristen Stewart wasn't busy enough stealing husbands and pets, she is now trying to snatch a role away from Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence, Vulture.com reports. Stewart is trying for the lead role in Lie Down in Darkness, an adaption of William Styron's 1951 novel about a broken family living in Virginia. However, Lawrence is also frantic for the same role of Peyton Loftis, the protagonist and troubled daughter.
"I am obsessed with that part," Lawrence told W magazine. "I have this feeling of protectiveness over characters I want to play. I worry about them -- if someone else gets the part, I’m afraid they won’t do it right; they’ll make the character a victim or they’ll make her a villain or they’ll just get it wrong somehow. I'm trying to write the director to convince him that I should be in his movie. I'll chase him if I have to. I'll sit outside his house." Too much, honey. Too much.
Although Lawrence is close to unavailable because she is working on Hunger Games: Catching Fire and X-Men: Days of Future Past, she could still get the role. No casting decisions have been made yet, E! reports. We think Stewart should just let Lawrence have it -- she needs to go away for a while. Plus, if that girl accumulates any more drama, she may go into cardiac arrest.
