Lady Gaga announces her new Born This Way Foundation
Lady Gaga sure picked a bad day to announce her new Born This Way Foundation -- the Wednesday announcement was obscured by Justin Bieber's paternity suit and Lindsay Lohan's jail sentence. But see, there are the kinds of kids Gaga wants to help!
The 25-year-old singer and her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, said they are partnering with the MacArthur Foundation and Harvard University to focus on"issues like self-confidence, well-being, anti-bullying, mentoring and career development" for today's youth, the AP reports. "Together we hope to establish a standard of Bravery and Kindness, as well as a community worldwide that protects and nurtures others in the face of bullying and abandonment," Gaga said in a statement. The group will launch next year.
Of course, all you Little Monsters already know all of this, but we've got to enter it into the record. We wouldn't want all the worthless celebrities to eat up all our space when someone's actually trying to help someone.
