Lady Gaga goes all Marilyn Monroe for Bill Clinton
The Juice* always spends the first part of the week catching up on whatever happened during the weekend, so that's why we waited until today to share Lady Gaga led a bunch of performances for former President Bill Clinton on Saturday, which she called her "first real Marilyn moment." Hey, you try paying attention to anything on TV with a bouncing Baby Juice* in the house.
"I always wanted to have one, and I was hoping that it didn't involve pills and a strand of pearls," the singer said, all dolled up in wavy blond hair and bright red lipstick, a la Marilyn Monroe during her infamous 1962 serenade of President John F. Kennedy. She was singing and dancing at the Hollywood Bowl for the 10th anniversary of the Clinton Foundation, but he was celebrating his 65th birthday -- which was back on Aug. 19 -- as well. Gaga marked the occasion by changing her famous single to Bill Romance. Watch video of the performance above.
"I thought, 'My God. I get Lady Gaga, and I will have a heart attack celebrating my 65th birthday," Clinton said after the show. Since she sang for Clinton right in front of wife Hillary, we can't help but wonder how awkward that was, no matter how smiley everyone was being.
