Lady Gaga wins Fashion Icon prize at CFDA Fashion Awards
Lady Gaga has already made quite a mark in the music and fashion worlds, but she made quite a statement at the after party for the Council of Fashion Designers of America awards ceremony in New York Monday night. And that statement was stripping off her gown and flashing her nipples a lot.
Gaga arrived at Alice Tully Hall wearing a turquoise wig, a spiked G-string and two-foot platform heels, which no doubt helped her case for her award: "All of you made me feel like a star before I was," she said during her acceptance speech, according to the Daily Mail. "As much as this award means to me personally ... I just want you to know how much this means to young Americans."
We wonder what it means to young Americans that she took off her custom Mugler gown, leaving only her see-through bodysuit, pasties and that aforementioned G-string to cover what's left of her shame (it's not like we can show you those pics, though). Oh, Marc Jacobs got a lifetime achievement award, too, but look, Lady Gaga took her clothes off!
