Lame O.J. jokes draw Fox's wrath
Twentieth Century Fox is none too pleased with an Internet parody of The Simpsons featuring O.J. Simpson, World Entertainment News Network reports. The studio has asked Web site Broadcaster.com to take down three separate clips of The O.J. Simpsons, which poke fun at the ex-football star’s legal woes using a format like the animated show.
Broadcaster.com says the parodies are protected by fair-use laws. “We respect the rights of content owners, honcho Martin Wade said. “Our goal is to be a respecter of content rights and at the same time find legal ways to bring our community members the content they enjoy.” Here at The Juice*, we can’t help but think making jokes at O.J.’s expense is about 10 years too late anyway, so who cares?
