Lana Del Rey is the new face of H&M's fall fashion
Singer Lana Del Rey may call herself indie, but that doesn't mean she can't still sell out. The 26-year-old is now the face of H&M's fall fashion campaign. How's that for a first job, all you struggling models out there?
"The mood is very L.A. noir. It's inspired by our fall collection," creative director Donald Schneider told Women's Wear Daily. Yes, very L.A. noir, except for the visible hand tattoos. All the songs about gang members are appropriate, though.
Del Rey, a.k.a. Lizzy Grant, a.k.a. Elizabeth Woolridge Grant, has recorded a cover of Tony Bennett's Blue Velvet for a short film to run with the campaign. This photo is courtesy of H&M, which tweeted it to the masses on Tuesday announcing the move. These clothes will go great with that handbag Mulberry named after her. Hopefully none of those blouses will cost $1,350, though.
