Latifah sues, G8 boos and Presley dues
• Queen Latifah sued a production company that helped finance 2007’s The Perfect Holiday, saying she was never paid the stipulated $275,000 she earned from her cameo appearance on the film, Reuters reports. The Juice* would take a cameo role for $2.75.
• Bono, Bob Geldof and other celebrities admonished the world’s governments Wednesday for only coughing up 14 percent of the $22 billion they promised for financial aid for Africa, the AP says. Hey, have they seen the price of gas lately?
• Celebrity psychic Uri Geller and two partners have lost a federal lawsuit claiming the former owners of Elvis Presley’s pre-Graceland house breached an eBay contract to sell the Memphis home, the AP reports, because the judge ruled eBay was more of an advertising vehicle than a binding sale. Don’t tell that to the dope who ought all our old Star Wars toys.
