Leona Helmsley's dog loses $10 million of trust
Leona Helmsley's dog Trouble sure has it now, losing $10 million of her $12 million trust fund to a greedy judge who won't live and let live. Manhattan Surrogate Judge Renee Roth had the audacity to take $10 million of the Maltese's money and move it to Helmsley's charitable foundation the AP reports.
The court made the decision back on April 30, but in typical criminal justice cowardice, just now decided to make the decision public, likely to spare the 9-year-old pooch's feelings. Trouble is no doubt sobbing her eyes out at her home in the Helmsley Sandcastle Hotel in Sarasota, since she's left with a paltry $2 million. Can't that judge understand who really needs that money?
