Lil Wayne sentencing postponed for dental surgery
We've been waiting with bated breath to find out how long Lil Wayne was going to have to spend in jail, but his sentencing was postponed Tuesday because of (you ready?) dental surgery. Talk about getting away by the skin of your teeth.
The rapper's comeuppance in a New York gun case was postponed because he needs to finish a string of surgeries before he goes to jail, the AP reports. That's something that might have been brought up before, although in all fairness, Weezy obviously has work done on his teeth a lot.
His lawyer, Stacey Richman, said the 27-year-old, who appeared in court Tuesday, was headed home to Miami for dental work Friday. His dentist had been out of the country doing charity work, resulting in the delay. Richman didn't say what the procedure was, but noted "It is a medical situation that, like (it would for) any of us, has to be addressed."
We'd say getting all the gold and diamonds taken out of your grill before heading off to the pokey is indeed a situation that would need to be addressed.
