Linda Evangelista wants $46,000 a month in child support from Salma Hayek's husband
We knew there would probably be a big court fight after supermodel Linda Evangelista revealed she and Salma Hayek shared a baby daddy in Gucci billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault. Now the deadbeat dad is fighting her request for child support amounting to $46,000 PER MONTH. What is this, an episode of Maury?
The 46-year-old contends that their 4-year-old son Augustin James deserves the best, since Pinault hasn't paid one plum nickel since the kid was born (he's been too busy spoiling his daughter with wife Hayek, 3-year-old Valentina Paloma). Evangelista wants an $80,000 per year, 'round-the-clock nanny and a team of armed drivers who used to be police detectives for $175,000 per year, the New York Post reports. Makes sense, right? Not to Pinault's lawyer.
"She testified that she wants to have a 24-hour nanny because she does not want to be alone with the child," David Aronson said. "Miss Evangelista, you should understand, has a worth of more than $8 million, and she earned, last year, $1.8 million." That's probably why the judge in the case threw out her request this week for $7,500 per month for vacation expenses.
While the judge was willing to concede a nanny and armed drivers may be necessary, he was curious how many hours a week she worked.
"On days when I do not work, I am working on my image," Evangelista said. "I have to hit the gym. I have beauty appointments. I have to work toward my next job and maintaining my image, just like an athlete. When I work, it can be a 16-hour day."
Amazing how a billionaire who already has two other kids from a previous marriage can try to make the mother of his illegitimate child look greedy. We don't care if she's a millionaire or not -- pay what you owe, Pinault.
