Lindsay Lohan blames brakes, other driver for Porsche accident

rsz_tbd-lindsaylohanb061212.jpgWe know, The Juice* said we wouldn't be covering Lindsay Lohan's stupid car crash out in L.A., when she (or maybe her assistant) crashed a Porsche into the back of a semi. But then we realized, hey, this could end up violating her probation! She could go back to jail! For a whole two days!

Lohan was briefly hospitalized after the Friday crash, which she says happened on the Pacific Coast Highway after the 18-wheeler cut her off and the cars brakes failed, thereby dooming any future freebies from Porsche. The 25-year-old was on her way to the set of her Lifetime movie, Liz & Dick, but why she wasn't in the Escalade giving chase the network provide is beyond our reasoning skills. Didn't she have her license revoked, anyway?

The driver of the truck, whom TMZ will only ID as James, disputed that pretty thoroughly, saying it's another big cover-up con job from Team Lohan -- although we should note James said he didn't know who she was, and still doesn't, and that makes us like him even more.

He says Lindsay's assistant and the Escalade driver "took me across the street and told me this was some kind of famous person and they didn't want to be in the media. But I'd already called 911 because they were trying to get away from the scene. But they packed a bag and then the limousine driver told me, 'Don't mention the bag to the cops.'"

People asked Lohan's rep, Steve Honig, what was with the mystery bag? And how could he have cut her off if he was sitting in the right lane when the crash occurred? All Honig could muster was, "It seems to me once he realized he wasn't going to get anything from Lindsay he decided to get cash by telling tales to the tabloids. I hope he got whatever money he was looking for."

It sounds like all he wanted was to get his paycheck and go home, and now he's got People and TMZ hounding him nonstop, so no, we don't think he got what he wanted.
