Lindsay Lohan, Eddie Murphy lead Razzies nods
In an awards contest after The Juice*’s own hearts, Lindsay Lohan and Eddie Murphy both nabbed multiple nominations for the Razzies, which recognize the worst that was in Hollywood. The AP reports LiLo’s I Know Who Killed Me got nine nods (including worst picture of 2007) and Murphy’s Norbit scored eight, including five for the actor alone — the most anyone has ever gotten in a single year.
Dig these categories: Murphy was nominated for worst actor as the titular Norbit, supporting actress for Norbit’s fat wife, supporting actor as an Asian man (guh?) and worst screen couple, He also got a screenplay nom for co-writing the dreck, which didn’t fare too poorly at the box office.
“We decided that each of his characters was so offensive that he deserved individual nominations,” Razzies founder John Wilson said. Conveniently, Lohan also is nominated for worst screen couple for playing an abductee and a stripper in Killed, which the Razzies really hated.
“I Know Who Killed Me is the most fabulously brainless movie since Showgirls,” Wilson said. “By the end of it, you still don’t know what happened. Are they twins or aren’t they? Did she imagine it? Can I please have my hour and 50 minutes back?”
