Lindsay Lohan gets $100,000 to be Brunei prince's date on New Year's Eve
Lindsay Lohan had made a big show of saying she was going to spend a quiet evening at home on New Year's Eve, but it turns out she meant the exact opposite of that, flying to London to make $100,000 to party with the prince of Brunei. Wait, is that even legal?
The New York Daily News says Lohan got the cash to attend a bash with Haji Abdul Azim, the son of Sultan Hassanal Bokiah. "Prince Azim not only flew her out; he put her up in a beautiful suite in the Dorchester for the weekend and following the party," a source told the paper. "Her mom, Dina, is also in London with her at the hotel and attended the party."
The prince, who is third in line for the crown of Brunei, also paid Lionel Ritchie $250,000 to sing and gave Pamela Anderson $75,000, so at least LiLo knows she's ahead of Pam on the D-list. That's not as good as his 30th birthday in June, to which he invited Mariah Carey, Chace Crawford, Raquel Welch, Marisa Tomei and Dionne Warwick. As far as we've read there was no monkey business, but it's still interesting to see Lindsay is basically in the escort business now. What took so long?
