Can Lindsay Lohan spend just one weekend not getting into some kind of trouble? We'll still be wondering that next week, because the "actress" and notorious layabout was mixed up in criminal mischief yet again for getting into a fight with a congressional staffer over some cellphone photos. It's called Redbox, Lindsay. It's easier to use than even Netflix. Stay home and try it sometime.

CNN says Lindsay told police she was in a room at the W Hotel on New York's Union Square when she asked to use Christian LaBella's phone after her phone's battery died. Lohan said she found photos of herself on the device, after which LaBella says she took it without permission to delete the images.

After that, Lohan said LaBella pushed her onto a bed, leading her to suffer scratches (note to self: don't sleep in beds at the W Hotel). She also said the 25-year-old choked her. Lohan then pulled a fire alarm and police arrived, much to the displeasure of all the other hotel guests, we're sure.

Lindsay wanted LaBella arrested, so cops took him in on two misdemeanor counts of assault and harrasment, CNN says. Those charges were dropped from lack of evidence. TMZ did dig up information from LaBella's Facebook page that showed the young man liked to take photos with various levels of celebrities, like Kim KardashianKris Jenner, Joe Francis, Herman Cain and Paul Ryan, and noted on his profile his aunt was Heather McDonald from Chelsea Handler's Chelsea Lately.

LaBella initially told cops he was a clerical worker from Valley Village, Calif., an L.A. suburb, but it didn't take long for everyone to find out he works in Washington for Republican U.S. Rep. John Shimkus of Illinois. A Shimkus spokesman was quick to note "the congressman does not condone his actions." No, allegedly choking infamous starlets for stealing from you is generally frowned upon, no matter how often it happens.
