Lindsay Lohan has to wear an alcohol monitoring bracelet, can't leave L.A.
Juice* lifeblood and de facto mascot Lindsay Lohan managed to drag herself to a Beverly Hills courtroom Monday to finally attend the hearing she couldn't be bothered to attend last week about whether she had been attending all her alcohol education classes, but the judge wasn't pleased. Now Linds has a brand-new alcohol-monitoring bracelet and a warning not to drink booze or do drugs again. That's like telling the sun not to shine, man!
Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel was none too pleased with Lohan's antics lately, the AP reports, having the 23-year-old actress fitted with the bracelet on her ankle and telling her she'd better be back on July 6 for a probation violation hearing. She also said LiLo, who seemed very unimpressed with the whole proceeding, couldn't leave the L.A. area and had to have drug tests every week.
Lindsay's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, complained that the guidelines were too harsh and that Lohan was sorry about that whole staying-in-Cannes-for-a-week thing, but she had to go to Texas to shoot a movie soon. Revel responded that she could spend a half-hour explaining why the judgment fit just fine, but Holley withdrew her objection. As far as Texas, Revel said, well, that'll just have to wait. Being stuck in L.A. sounds like the worst punishment imaginable to us, anyway.
As you'll recall, Lohan has been on probation since August 2007after pleading guilty to misdemeanor drug charges and no contest to three driving charges. She'll have to wear the ankle bracelet until at least July 6, when Revel will decide if it needs to stay on. As for the guidelines being too harsh, well, it beats stale baloney sandwiches and communal showers in county now, don't it, Lindsay?
