Lindsay Lohan may work out a plea deal for theft, do 18 days
So what are the chances Lindsay Lohan is going to plead out in her grand theft case and do some hard time? Pretty good, if you believe the rumors on TMZ that say the troubled starlet is working on a deal. She's going to the clink either way, promises the prosecutor.
The site says LiLo's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, has been meeting with assistant D.A. Danette Meyers and will talk with Judge Keith Schwartz next week to work out a sentence. Meyers is pushing for six whole months, but sources tell TMZ Schwartz is more liable to hand out three months if Lindsay pleads guilty or no contest.
Thanks to L.A. County's infamous prison overcrowding problem -- and this is prison we're talking about, not county jail -- it's looking like Lohan would serve a grand total of 18 days. That's not too bad for repeated probation violations and stealing a $2,500 necklace from a jewelry store. You and me would probably be locked up for five years for the same stuff, y'know.
