Lindsay Lohan out of rehab, on probation
Just yesterday we were saying Lindsay Lohan might get out of rehab early, then she went ahead and did it Tuesday night, around 8 p.m. East Coast time; We missed it, because we have sense enough to unplug from ridiculous celebrity non-news. But hey, that's the price you pay for living on the better coast, right?
Anyway, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden Fox on Wednesday did have his scheduled court hearing, sans LiLo, and ordered the 24-year-old to arrend an outpatient rehab program through Novemeber, the AP reports. Lohan will have to have counseling sessions, take drug and alcohol tests twice a week and must live in the L.A. area, which sounds like punishment enough by itself.
Fox wasn't all hardcore, however, since he dismissed two drug counts Lindsay pleaded guilty to in 2007, and will remove her from probation if she meets his criteria. If she doesn't comply or misses her drug tests, though, she'll go to jail for 30 days. Given the jail system's record, that means, what? Four days?
Meanwhile, there has to be a good reason Lindsay's doctors said she should be released after just 23 days into a 13-week, court-ordered stay at UCLA Medical Center. After all, TMZ says that stay cost Lindsay about $40,000 per week. And of course, her insurance doesn't cover it.
