Lindsay Lohan released from jail, sent to rehab
As we imagined, Lindsay Lohan was released from jail in the middle of the night, just as loyal East Coast Juice*heads were dreaming that her stay would actually stay in the lockup for the full 90 days, instead of the mere 14 -- the few minutes after midnight count as a whole day, mind you -- she served. Note to selves: If we're going to go to jail, try to get the L.A. County Sheriff's Department involved.
TMZ says Lohan was released from Lynwood Correctional Facility around 1:35 a.m. Left Coast time. She went immediately to UCLA Medical Center for her court-ordered rehab assignment. Judge Marsha Revel had sentenced her to go to a place called Morningside Recovery, but decided to listen to the appointed psychiatrists, who said UCLA was better suited to the UCLA facility. We'll keep that in mind if we have problems with meth addiction and bipolar disorder, which is why she's going there.
The one good thing in all this is that the AP says Lindsay will not have her time in rehab cut short. That means she has to stay in treatment for three whole months, not promoting her role in Robert Rodriguez's Machete and not playing porn star Linda Lovelace in biopic about the Deep Throat actress. That's way better than keeping her in jail.
