Lindsay Lohan says jail time, probation violation is because she's famous
Well, it seems we were a bit premature to say that Lindsay Lohan wasn't going to get jail time, since by now we all know she ended up in the clink for a whole five hours after being sentenced to 120 days in jail for probation violation last Friday. That's what we get for being more concerned with our own lives instead of the exploits of some head case actress who doesn't seem to think taking things that aren't hers is wrong.
Anyway, wouldn't you know it, but after L.A. County Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner reduced her felony grand theft charge to a misdemeanor, LiLo ended up with her sentence for probation violation. While she coughed up her $75,000 bond, Lohan thinks the whole thing is a "witch hunt" against her because prosecutor Danette Meyers is running for L.A. County District Attorney, TMZ reports. It can't possibly be because Lindsay keeps getting DUIs and takes home jewelry she hasn't paid for.
"She is being treated differently from everyone else because she is famous," a source tells PopEater's Rob Shuter. "We were all in shock when she was forced to return to jail just to make an example out of her. It's not right. Especially when she is working so hard to live a healthy life."
If anything, LiLo has been treated with kid gloves. Who do you know that would walk out of a store with a $2,500 necklace, keep it for several days and then return only when the store pressed charges and say they being treated differently for getting locked up for it? Lindsay, that's who.
"She is innocent and can't understand what is going on," Shuter's source says. "She didn't steal any necklace and will be found innocent. It's obvious this is only happening because she is famous and anyone that thinks celebrities get away with stuff or let off will think again after seeing this."
Meanwhile, The Juice* apologizes again for not getting the whole story immediately. The next time an emotionally damaged, habitually addicted, sub-par actress with a high opinion of herself goes to jail for a matter of minutes, we'll be there!
