Lionsgate already planning 'Twilight' follow-up before it ends
Are you ready for Twilight to be over with the Nov. 16 release of the final sequel Breaking Dawn Part 2 mere days away? Too bad, suckers, because the Interwebs is abuzz with word the show will go on. That's what the undead do, you know.
Moviehole.net is confirming a June report from Bloody-Disgusting.com that Lionsgate/Summit is planning on remaking the series already. Well, maybe rebooting. Or spinning it off. But they definitely aren't pulling a Stephenie Meyer and yanking all future projects related to the franchise. There's too much money to be made!
"They're already onto the (Breaking Dawn) follow-up," a source told the site, insisting a "TV show or film spin-off, merely set in the same world as the one in the movies but not featuring the main trio, is being seriously considered." About what? "The Wolf Pack (is) one area of interest." Oh, good. We were beginning to think there would be a shortage of pasty, mouth-breathing girls and young men with severe shirt deficits. Don't expect Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson to be in it, though, because we expect them to break up right after opening weekend.
